An emergency physician, for many years the chair of the Czech Society for Emergency and Disaster Medicine (ČLS JEP), now the chair of the Society for Medical Ethics (ČLS JEP).
I have worked in emergency medicine for more than 30 years, both in the field, including air ambulance service, and in acute hospital care. I have long researched psychological strain and resilience among healthcare workers. I also studied ethics and since last year I have been teaching at 3. LF UK.
I am the author of several professional books on medicine.
