Candidate for council member for families and senior care
PhDr. Marie Jungmannová
č. 3I want to help people so that life here is good for them.
I am a translator and for many years I have translated fiction and nonfiction from English and Spanish. For more than twenty years I also taught languages at a secondary school, and I have experience from volunteer work in the scouting movement.
My husband and I raised three sons and we have two granddaughters. Our whole family has lived in Košíře for almost two decades.
I have been with Piráti since 2021 and at the Prague 5 district hall I serve on the Committee for Education and Sports. I am also a member of several school boards.
I have long been interested in education, and from practice I know what troubles schools and what should change.
Another area I care about is social policy, which matters more every year. Help has to go above all to the most vulnerable: people with disabilities, single mothers and fathers, young families, children, seniors and caregivers.
That is why I am running for the Prague 5 district assembly.
What I want to push through
- Build a playground for children with autism and children with disabilities
- Extend step-free access at public offices and in transit
- Strengthen the network of community and social services
- Build a low-threshold center near Terminál Smíchov
