Assistant to a member of parliament
Mgr. Simona Jiskrová
č. 22I've lived in Prague 5 my whole life. I love it deeply and I also know it can be a pretty wild place.
At Univerzita Karlova I earned a bachelor's degree in political science and international relations and a master's in media studies. The world of politics and public affairs has always interested me, because I believe politics is the foundation of everything: every single area of our lives follows from it. I am someone who needs to keep moving. I love company and contact with people, so I naturally enjoy following and unpacking what is happening at home and in the world.
Professionally I started in public administration, specifically at Prague City Hall, where I learned how public institutions work from the inside. I then moved to the newsroom of a large media company and tried my hand at commercial marketing. Now I work as an assistant to Piráti members of parliament, which lets me combine what I enjoy with my job. What I value most about Piráti is their liberal values and the courage to change things that have not worked for a long time.
