Social policy
Prague 5 is aging faster than the Prague average, and as the share of seniors grows so do the demands on home care and on community and respite centers. At the same time it is home to young families and single parents, for whom housing and simply getting by are harder every year. On top of that we host one of Prague's two low-threshold centers for people with addiction, which draws clients from across the city, so we will press the city not to leave the burden on just two districts. More such centers need to be built across Prague. Social policy concerns every one of us.

What exactly, within 4 years
- A low-threshold center near Terminál Smíchov. Together with the city we will build a smaller contact point for people who are homeless or in need, so it is ready when the new station opens. Prevention will take pressure off Anděl and its surroundings and improve safety in busy places.
- Transit and public offices without barriers. With the public transit company we will secure as many step-free connections as possible on the lines serving Prague 5, and make the district offices and healthcare facilities step-free.
- The first inclusive playground in Prague. Step-free, with equipment for children with mobility disabilities and a sensory and quiet zone for children on the autism spectrum or with ADHD. In France, Scandinavia and Britain this is standard; in Prague they are only being planned.
- A stronger network of community and social services. We will support what works at the social affairs department: assisted-living houses, community and respite centers, counseling, outreach and prevention programs including integration of foreign residents. Cooperation with organizations such as Sananim or CSOP is essential.
- A housing contact point that actually helps. We will not meet the new statutory duty to help people at risk of losing their housing merely on paper. We will provide real help with navigating social support, municipal housing and crisis situations.
